International acquiring at IMEX FRANKFURT

Internationally putting the province of Friesland on the map as the business convention destination! That is what Friesland Convention Partners did during IMEX FRANKFURT, from May 31 to June 2, 2022. With over 80 participating countries, 8,000 visitors and 70,000 pre-scheduled appointments, IMEX is the largest trade fair in Europe for planners and organizers of business meetings.

On the exhibition floor of Messe Frankfurt, an international spectacle emerged this year. The team of Friesland Convention Partners attended this international fair for the first time and, together with 26 other companies, represented the Netherlands. Together they profiled themselves at the booth of the Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions (NBTC).
All with the aim of inspiring convention organizers to shift their gaze to the Netherlands, and for Friesland Convention Partners specifically to Friesland. 

During these days we were able to speak with many international parties, organizers and other companies. Specifically, this has already resulted in a number of great applications. In addition, interesting projects were started with regard to approaching the Chinese market. The first Chinese steps have been taken.

Among other things, we came into contact with an American linguist, who thirty years ago translated a piece of text from Frisian into English. So Friesland was already familiar to him, but in the business field a new world of opportunities opened up for him.
With his existing interest in Friesland, the information and inspiration provided to him, he now really wants to bring his event to Friesland.
